On February 25, BonusXP CEO Dave Pottinger visited The Guildhall and gave a talk on Practical Game Artificial Intelligence. Dave has had a fair bit of experience working on games with fairly high demands on what the AI needed to do. The Age of Empires series is one example, where AI players needed to gather resources, build structures, train units, attack, defend, and more. It all has to start somewhere though and Dave’s presentation breaks down where to begin and offers some advice on lessons learned over the years.
